Made for Ruth Kipling Watson (nee Sanderson) for her wedding Tow Law, County Durham Quilt, c1888 Single Irish Chain and Diamond in the Square - with appliqu? centre. Printed and plain cottons, reverse white cotton, bound edge. Quilting design follows pieced blocks with outline quilting and assorted motifs in the blocks; Rose with Wave border.
