Vase

Part of a pair. Each vase is of elongated capstan shape flaring outwards towards the base and neck. Decorated with sprays of chrysanthemums and prunus blossoms, issuing from a rocky mound painted blue. On top of the mound is perched a cockerel glaring at another cockerel at the base of the mound. Below the rim of each vase is a decorative border of formal flower heads in dark red against a pink ground, broken at intervals to form an oval panel painted with a single pink flower and foliage.
