The museum’s collection of the Erebuni Historical & Archaeological Culture-Preserve includes 11295 archeological objects relating to pre Urartian, Urartian, Achaemenian, Hellenistic and early Armenian periods. The objects have been discovered during periodic excavations, and accidentally, took place in Arin Berd, Karmir Blur, Shengavit sites and also in different regions of Armenia. The objects are classified in 128 collections, including:
- 64 collections from Arin Berd
- 11 collections from Karmir Blur
- 18 collections from Shengavit
- 35 collections from Yerevan and regions. Vayots Dzor, Gegharcunik, Tavush, Lory, Shirak, Kotayk
Our museum collection is an important resource into understanding the relationship of Urartu with Asia Minor, Mediterranean and Assyrian-Mesopotamian civilizations and in explaining several historical issues. There are 649 objects from the collection that are shown in a permanent exhibition at the museum.
