Internal Fire has over 40 working engines installed in the main buildings with numeours others in the process of installation in new "Halls". These include a 500hp tandem compound steam engine and an 1879 paddle steamer engine plus 100hp Crossley gas engine and more. The installed engines are run most days and range from the oldest working Diesel engine in the UK to a 32 ton 1934 Allen diesel. A 4,250 shaft horsepower Proteus gas turbine is also run regularly for special events.
