Thurston Moore, the singer, songwriter and guitarist who formed Sonic Youth with Kim Gordon in 1981, will play an exclusive show with the London Sinfonietta at London’s White Cube gallery today (February 8 2015) as part of a series of performances accompanying an exhibition by glass-inspired artist Christian Marclay.

Each performance will be recorded live and then pressed as a record by the on-site Vinyl Factory Press. Touted as the world’s first mobile vinyl manufacturing press, the sonically-pleasing machine is being housed in a shipping container in the gallery for the duration of the exhibition.
