CAS at MSMSII Museum meets the three requirements of a Creativity, Action, Service (CAS) project that an International Baccalaureate student of Diploma Programme (IBDP) is required to undertake.
The proposed project includes the following components:
We organize gallery walks focusing on the various crcaft techniques showcased in the collections of the Museum. This will be followed by a workshop of selected techniques by an expert artist. The students may create their own work based on this experience. The Museum will offer them space to display their works for the visitors.
The royal cenotaphs, a part of the Jaipur royal heritage are available as a site for studets to learn about certain conservation principles while restoring/ maintaining heritage sites by working on site under the guidance of Museum professionals.
Student volunteers will be trained by Museum professionals to conduct specialised guided tours and engage with a range of visitors including school groups, family groups, adults and differently abled persons. They will undertake visitor surveys to understand the demographics of the visitors and betterment of the museum experience. The Museum is committed to inclusive access and will sensitise students on the principles and practice of inclusiveness.
Additionally, the MSMSII Museum houses an extensive library of books which may be referred to for research purpose. The students may also take up individual projects based on the architecture and design of the Palace complex, Jaigarh Fort and the varied displayed collections.
We are happy to discuss any other possibilities with the faculty to provide a unique opportunity to the students to meet their CAS (Creativity, Action, Service) requirements within the cultural setting of our museum. For further queries, plase write to us at email@example.com
