Located in the heart of Houston's Museum District, the MFAH is a dynamic cultural complex comprising two gallery buildings, a sculpture garden, visitors center, library, movie theater, gift shop, café, two art schools, and two house museums.
The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, houses more than 65,000 works of art created by cultures across the globe, from ancient times to today. The best way to experience a work of art is to see it in person, but you can also browse about 500 selections from the MFAH collections online.
The MFAH art collections and exhibitions are presented primarily in the Museum’s two main gallery buildings: the Audrey Jones Beck Building and the Caroline Wiess Law Building. Connected by the underground Wilson Tunnel, these two locations also house Cafe Express, The MFAH Shop, Hirsch Library, the Kinder Foundation Education Center, and Brown Auditorium Theater.
