Queensferry Museum

Queensferry Museum boasts a great location and some wonderful objects that evoke the spirit of this historic former Royal Burgh.

Queensferry Museum showcases the past and traditions of Queensferry and neighbouring Dalmeny. The Forth Rail and Road Bridges, the ferry passage to Fife, local customs and traditions, and local trade and industry are the focus of the displays.

A display on local wildlife is complemented by fantastic views across the Forth from our picture windows. Our telescope helps you to take in the view, spotting wildlife and exploring the Bridges.

The building in which Queensferry Museum is housed was originally the Viewforth Temperance Hotel, built in 1900. For part of World War Two, it was used as the Norwegian Naval Command (Port Edgar), and later became the Council Chambers of the Royal Burgh of Queensferry.
