The Museum of Architecture and Design (MAO) is the central Slovenian museum of architecture, urban planning, industrial and graphic design, and photography. The Museum systematically collects, stores, studies and presents the material from the above-mentioned fields at temporary and permanent exhibitions.

The Fužine Castle houses the MAO’s Head Office, its administration and most of its departments: Old Slovenian Architecture Department, New Slovenian Architecture Department, Industrial Design Department, Photography Department and Visual Communication Department. MAO is also the organisor of Biennial of Industrial Design.
