Hitchin Museum and Art Gallery

This museum has now closed while staff work towards the redevelopment of the new North Hertfordshire Museum, scheduled to open in Hitchin Town Hall in 2015. For details of our 'Behind the Scenes' tours, please e-mail hitchin.museum@north-herts.gov.uk, or call 01462-434476.

While the museum is closed, we are sorry that we are unable to answer enquiries, or give access to our archives. However the British Schools Museum in Hitchin has kindly agreed to host our digital records of local maps, scrapbooks, paintings, oral history and video footage, as well as some key historical documents for research.
