WINERY. WINE INTERPRETATION TEACHING MUSEUM

In contrast to the traditional ones, in this museum, the focus is not the content but the container, the cavern.

This human made structure, which is eminently functional, tries to achieve the ideal

insulated conditions for the production of wine in an economical way. The insulation protects the wine from winter and summer harshness.

The architectural model that wants to be followed is the cave, an organic building constructed by extracting materials rather than adding them.

The winery is set on “El Cuarto de San Pedro”, located in the North of the town centre.

The visit covers four rooms:

1. Life in the winery.
2. Beam press.
3. Wine and its tools.
4. Wine press

The purpose of this museum is  to research and educate
