Turks and Caicos National Museum

TURKS AND CAICOS NATIONAL MUSEUM is located in Guinep House on Front Street, a 200 year old Bermudian styled architecture building. Artifacts from the 1513 Molasses Reef shipwreck, said to be the oldest European wreck discovered in the Western Hemisphere can be found on the first floor of the museum. On the second there are exhibits about the Lucayan Indians who first inhabited the islands; the Golden Age of the Turks and Caicos Islands, featuring the Salt Industry, the Lighthouse and hard hat diver Jeremiah Murphy; a John Glenn room and several other exhibits portraying the cultural and natural history of the islands.
