Cyprus Medical Museum is now open for public!

Housed in a preserved building (1899) of residential core ιn Kato Polemidia

Various exhibits were divided into 9 sections and specialities suggested through the appropriate placement on platforms with similar lighting using mannequins with doctor's uniforms and audiovisual material presents images of a bygone era.  Cyprus Medical Museum welcomes visitors, every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday from 09:00 to 17:00, (Last Entry 16:15)

It houses aprox. 200 exhibits donated by 35 doctors and other organisations from all over Cyprus. It also includes a small library and a botanical garden. The exhibits come to life with lighted platforms and life-sized models portraying delivery, operating and examining rooms. Of special interest are equipments used for the first time in Cyprus such as an Electrocardiograph, hemodialysis machine e.t.c.

With the aid of 8 touch screen computers placed next to the specialty units, the visitors can get all the information (English & Greek) regarding donators as well as the location, the period and type of use of the various exhibits.Short videos present the modern practise of medicine and surgeries as well as the progress of medical technology within the last century.
