MACVAC, Museu d'Art Contemporani Vicente Aguilera Cerni de Vilafamés

This contemporary art museum was opened in 1972 and Vicente Aguilera Cerni, a renowned art critic, was its founder.

The museum institution, one of the first dedicated to contemporary art in Spain, is home to more than 500 works, both nationally and internationally. The collection, through donations or assignments of the artists themselves, makes a pioneer museum of this management model.

The MACVAC is located in a splendid palace of the XVth century in the historical centre of Vilafamés, a picturesque village inside the province of Castelló, declared of Cultural Interest.
