Sant'Agostino Museum

In the mediaeval Augustinian (13th century) monastery a museum is housed which contains sculptures, detached Italian and Ligurian frescoes, stone relics (10th to 18th cent.). The Museum is located in the largest historical center in Europe.

Besides works by F.M. Schiaffino, Valerio Castello, Domenico Piola, Luca Cambiaso, F. Parodi, also Giovanni Pisano’s, Pierre Puget’s masterpieces can be noted.
Contrast of styles, merger of medieval and modern.

The church and former monastery welcomed the seat of museum of architecture and sculpture Ligurian 1939, after the completion of a comprehensive project to expand the exhibition space at the origin of a museum circuit and museum.
