Hopsewee Plantation was built between 1735 and 1740 on the banks of the North Santee River and is the birthplace of Thomas Lynch, Jr., a SC signer of the Declaration of Independence. Tour the Plantation House from Attic to Cellar. Open Tuesday - Saturday Hopsewee is not only a historical landmark we also offer lunch service and a Beautiful Southern tea in the River Oak Cottage and we are available for your special events.
