Museum of the Southwest
The Museum of the Southwest seeks to excite the senses through discovery in art, culture and science. The Museum of the Southwest is a multidisciplinary cultural campus comprised of the Turner Memorial Art Museum, Durham Children’s Museum, Blakemore Planetarium and a public sculpture collection. Opened in 1966, the Museum of the Southwest is an independent non-profit institution and has been accredited by the American Association of Museums since 1992.
