Visitors to the Quarry. A century in the field at Cormeilles

For over a century, scientists, students and professionals in construction and industry have visited the open-cast quarry at Cormeilles. The unique 100-metre deep cross-section of the Paris Basin has been a destination for field trips and a source of information for school books and scientific papers. 

The exhibition provides a historical panorama of the quarry over the past two centuries; the catalog is scheduled for publication in late 2021.
