The 24 Solar Terms Photograph Exhibition

on 18th of May 2018, the 42th International Museum Day, the 24 Solar Terms photograph exhibition will be on in Hall 5, China Agricultural Museum. more than 300 photographs picked out from more than 20,000 photographs all over the country, will be shared with audiences, these works based on the 24 Solar Terms theme。The exhibition includes 4 parts：the Solar Terms & phenology; the Solar Terms & Farming;  the Solar Terms & Custom Culture and the Solar Terms & Health Care.

"The Twenty-Four Solar Terms" --- the Chinese heritage, knowledge in China of time and practices developed through observation of the sun's annual motion，was inscribed on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in Ethiopia's capital Addis Ababa , Nov. 30 2016。

As a traditional knowledge system of time that enjoys thousands of years of intergenerational transmission, the 24 Solar Terms clearly embodies the concepts of respect for nature, and harmony between man and nature.

The traditional Chinese calendar which has provably influenced the people's way of thinking and code of conduct continues to be an important carrier of Chinese cultural identity. It continues to provide the time frame for the everyday life and communal events to this date.
