The exhibition presents the cultural, ethnical and linguistic diversity of citizens of Maribor, yet uncovering a mere fragment of the social variety of residents who migrated to the city on the river Drava in various periods, from various countries and for various reasons. According to the official SI-STAT data, as on 1 Jan 2017 citizens of Maribor had reported 107 different countries as countries of their first residence. Some were brought to Maribor because of love, others study, work or by coincidence. Some others started their journey to seek better living conditions. Some were running for their life.
