[CONTEST] PAINTED CREATURES: THE UMAG ANIMAL DRAWING COMPETITION

Animals can be found all around UMAG. Look closely and you will find a pair of guardian lions keeping watch by the Fung Ping Shan building entrance, butterflies and orioles flitting through the silk tapestries in the exhibition Pictorial Silks: Chinese Textiles from the UMAG Collection, and dragons and qilins roaming freely among the intricate patterns of our ceramics collection. To celebrate our animal friends and showcase your creativity, we are now holding the drawing contest Painted Creatures: The UMAG Animal Drawing Competition.

There are no limits on the kinds of animals you can depict! Drop by UMAG and sketch the animals you see around the museum, draw a portrait of your beloved pet, or bring to life the imaginary creatures in your dreams. Join the contest by following UMAG on Instagram (umag_hku) and uploading the work to your personal Instagram account. Tag the post @umag_hku,  #PaintedCreatures and the category you belong to (#Primary/ #Secondary/ #Public).
