The cello enjoyed huge popularity in Handel’s time, and was played by amateurs, professionals and even several members of the Royal family.
Renowned cellists Anthony Pleeth and Tatty Theo perform a selection of sonatas by composers including Bononcini, Handel and Geminiani.
