With Dr Lena Fritsch, Curator, Ashmolean Museum An introduction to the art and life of Ibrahim El-Salahi, a world-renowned pioneer of African and Arab Modernism who fuses inventive forms of calligraphy, abstraction and a profound knowledge of art history. The related exhibition at the Ashmolean is the first solo exhibition of his work in Oxford, his home for the past twenty years.
