Young artists of the Jockey Club Opera Hong Kong Young Artist Development Programme will present you excerpts of famous operas on a monthly basis from February to November in 2018 at the University Museum and Art Gallery of the University of Hong Kong. The upcoming performance will be on 15 June and 20 July 2018 (Fri), 1:00PM-1:45PM.

ABOUT MARIA STUARDA & LUCIA DI LAMMERMOOR
Maria Stuarda is a tragic opera in two acts composed by Donizetti. The story is set in 16th-Century England and is loosely based on the real-life power struggle between Queen Mary of Scots and Queen Elizabeth I of England.
Also composed by Donizetti, Lucia di Lammermoor is another famous tragic opera om three acts, with its story set in early 18th-Century and is loosely based on the Scottish historical novel The Bride of Lammermoor.
ABOUT THE BARBER OF SEVILLE
The Barber of Seville is an opera buffa in two acts composed by Rossini. Set in Seville, the story features a romantic but hilarious love story between beautiful Rosina, charming Count Almaviva and Figaro the barber who knows all the town’s secrets and scandals.
