The Museum of the History of Physics, University of Padua, will propose an event dedicated to University students.
The theme is “Modern Physics in Padua from the late 19th century to the 1950s”
The event will start at 17.30 with a conference on Bruno Rossi, by Sofia Talas, curator of the Museum. The talk will provide an outline of the beginnings of particle physics in Padua in the first part of the 20th century.
From 18.30, the Museum will be open to University students, with a welcome cocktail and the opening of the competition “Selfie at the Museum 2018”: students are invited to choose an instrument connected to the proposed theme, take a selfie and post it on the facebook page of the event with their comment. The authors of the most appreciated selfies will be rewarded with physics gadgets!
