Gem Guided Tour

The Gem Museum is happy to celebrate International Museum Day 2018 with you in the month of May!

The objective of International Museum Day is to raise awareness of the fact that, “Museums are an important means of cultural exchange, enrichment of cultures and development of mutual understanding, cooperation and peace among peoples.”

From 17th to 19th May, visit The Gem Museum for a free guided tour conducted by our certified trainer and gemologist. Peer into the world of beauty gemstones, and learn the mine to market story of our earth's finest treasures!

Learn about how gems are formed billion of years ago through The Rock Cycle, how they go through the mining and cutting process and finally being refined into precious beautiful fine jewellery pieces.

Another highlight is the Rock Garden featuring rocks and minerals including ammonite fossil, dinosaur droppings and pyrite crystal, an instagram-worthy picture-taking corner.

It's a great educational experience for the whole family not to be missed. Children under 10 years old get to have their hands on our mini sand pit to experience mining and uncovering hidden gemstones!
