Free entry to Perception Deception at Queensland Museum

In addition to Perception Deception, visitors can stop by the Lost Creatures gallery, which introduces some of Queensland’s long-lost inhabitants, including dinosaurs, giant marine reptiles and megafauna; and also learn more about Queensland’s unique wildlife in the new permanent Wild State exhibition.

The Workshops Rail Museum in Ipswich, which is part of the Queensland Museum Network, will also offer FREE entry on International Museum Day, where you can explore more than 15 larger than life exhibitions, including the Tiny Worlds Photographic Display that uses a collection of microscopic images and biomedical illustrations to see the most hidden parts of the body under the microscope.

Then as the sun sets enjoy a night under the stars and explore the natural luminosity of Ipswich’s beautiful night sky with World Science Festival Brisbane’s FREE stargazing event. Telescopes will be provided to explore and identify the stars and help unlock the secrets of our observable universe. Look up to the stars from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. 

Cobb + Co Museum in Toowoomba and Museum of Tropical Queensland in Townsville will also open its doors with FREE ENTRY.
