“Underground. Reconsideration through times” IMD2018

Rasim Babayev, Kamal Ahmad, Javad Mirjavadov and many other artists with whom modern Azerbaijan prouds today, had faced during the 60-th years of the past century an outright rejection, because of its not fitting to the ideology of soviet country. The time has placed everything according to theirs values and necessity, because one of the main features of civilisation is an ability of reunderstanding. The 21-st century has given to the heritage of soviet underground artists a new life, admiration, relevance, understanding and acceptation, new sounding. More than 30 works of Azerbaijani artists will appear as the main beneficiaries during an International Museum Day, in frames of “Underground. Reconsideration through times”.. This project will demonstrate new approaches and new publics, accepting and reconsidering its heritage and creativity of those native artists who could have managed to make their contribution to the world art of informal, ambiguous dispatch through a beauty, fascinating coloristic combination, national value and completion and extraordinary artistic approach.
