Neuropsychiatric boarding house opens doors for International Museum Day. In memory of Mikalojus Ciurlionis.

Belarusian Art Brut Collection together with ICOM Belarus opens the doors of the neuropsychiatric boarding house for Art and for the new publics.

Event is dedicated to the memory of the painter, composer and writer Mikalojus Ciurlionis. He had mental disability, but became one of the pioneers of abstract art in Europe. Unfortunately belarusian public isn't aware much about his life and his work.

Residents of neuropsychiatric boarding house are closed for cultural and museum life. Patients have no opportunity to exhibit their art works.

Therefore, for at least one day we want to transform boarding house into museum. To move cultural life right inside.

Professional musicians and lecturers will perform together with inhouse Art Brut artists. The doors of the boarding house on this day will be open to the public!
