Book Launch: Haig's Enemy

During the First World War, Crown Prince Rupprecht of Bavaria was the German general who was the closest counterpart to, and main antagonist of, both Sir John French and Sir Douglas Haig. Dr Jonathan Boff will discuss his new military biography of Rupprecht and will demonstrate how seeing the events of 1914-18 through German eyes enables us to understand war on the Western Front, and indeed the nature of modern war, in a new light. A drinks reception will follow the talk and Q&A.
