Marvellous Mosaics

Those clever Romans were ahead of their time in so many ways. These days we make our pictures on TV, computers and in print using lots of coloured dots or pixels to build up the image. The Romans had their own version using coloured stone tiles to create colourful mosaics on floors and walls. Join us at the Gateway to the Glens Museum to create your own Marvellous Mosaic to celebrate BBC Civilisations week which explores the visual culture of societies from around the globe.
