[WORKSHOP] Emulsion lift of Instant Film Workshop

Apart from the intriguing nature of ‘one-shot’ cameras, the physical composition of instant film allows for the possibility of creative projects such as emulsion lifts, which transform the standard two-dimensional image into a new work of art. To coincide with the special exhibition From Two Arises Three: The Collaborative Works of Arnold Chang and Michael Cherney, UMAG and HKIPF are offering an Emulsion Lift of Instant Film workshop for adults and children. After introducing the history and basics of instant photography, the workshop will focus on the emulsion lift technique, which consists of transferring the original image to a different medium, such as paper, cloth or glass. Be prepared for many surprises!
