Winter Warm-up at Bolton Steam Museum

Our volunteers have rescued and restored 30 old stationary steam engines - some of the engines which once powered the cotton mills and woolen mills of the North of England. Some of our engines are now unique - the only one of its kind to survive anywhere in the world! Our oldest is now 180 years old and most are well over 100 years old! Most will be running in steam on these 2 days only, and admission is free. There is an activity sheet for the children, and hot & cold drinks and snacks in the Engine View Cafe. Full disabled access and free unlimited parking on Morrison's Supermarket car park next to the Museum.
