Evening Lecture with Martin Watts (Cotswold Archaeology)
Thursday 25 January, 7-8.30pm
Cotswold Archaeology has a long history of involvement with the medieval Priory of Llanthony Secunda in Gloucester, most recently as part of the HLF-funded sustainable redevelopment project on behalf of the Llanthony Secunda Priory Trust. The work has revealed insights into the use, construction and development of these buildings, prior to their conversion into a 21st-century interpretation centre. Join Martin Watts to hear about the archaeological excavations and new discoveries that have been made.
Martin has been a professional archaeologist for 30 years. He joined Cotswold Archaeology in 2000 and became Head of Publications in 2003. Martin has expertise in medieval and post-medieval urban archaeology.
