First World War Munition Site Tours

On the edge of Banbury lies the mysterious site of the town’s First World War munitions filling factory that supplied the front line with nearly four million shells and much of the British Army’s stock of mustard gas shells. Find out more in this rare opportunity to see first-hand the remains of a site described by English Heritage as being of national and international importance. Please note that the site has rough terrain, and stiles and gates to climb over. Good mobility and stout footwear essential. Sense of adventure desirable! Please check the website for up to date times.
