The lecture introduces traditional architecture and villages spaces in Huizhou. Using examples of architectural projects of renovation and new houses recently completed by Wang Weijen Architecture in Zhejiang, the discussion also outlines recent rural architectural movements of xiang-jian in China, highlighting the importance for reactivating the tradition of narrative spaces by shaping public space with village communities.
