In this talk and demonstration, the participating artist, Ying Tianqi, will share his printmaking practice with us, focusing on his famous Xidi Village Series (1886-1994). He will introduce the social and cultural background and the contents of this print collection. In particular, he will demonstrate how he applied both lithography and copperplate printing to create his unique style of mixed media relief print with water-soluble ink.
