Be inspired by our War Paint exhibition by getting creative in this hands-on workshop exploring the use of repetition in art.
During this workshop, we’ll be examining ‘Repetition’ (2005) by Gerald Laing, one of the paintings featured in our War Paint exhibition.
We’ll begin with a discussion about the painting, exploring the presentation of the artwork, its historical and political context, and an introduction to the design of camouflage.
We’ll then use a print-making technique to create a repetitive/camouflage design inspired by Laing’s piece or by a section within another painting of the exhibition.
All levels are welcome. Materials will be provided. The workshop runs from 7pm to 8.30pm.
