Lady Carnarvon has published two historical bestsellers focusing on the social life of the house around the First and Second World Wars, exploring what Highclere was really like during this time. Her third book develops the theme of entertainment, with stunning photographs and archive gems. Highclere remained a very glamorous house welcoming guests from statesmen, to royalty, and celebrities from the stage and screen.
