Museums at Night - Banknotes and Bullion

The Bank of England Museum will be open from 5.30pm - 9pm offering a rare opportunity to visit out of regular opening hours. There will be special talks taking place throughout the evening giving visitors a unique insight into some of the most intriguing and fascinating objects. The Museum team will also be revealing some unseen objects from the Bank's collection which visitors can handle. Banknote experts will be conducting short talks giving background information about our current notes. Visitors can also explore the Banknote Gallery, which presents the story of the banknote and how they have evolved over the years, from simple paper receipts into the most sophisticated note that the Bank has issued to date. Admission and all activities are free, and there's no need to book.
