Long line of Bous Army march

Original shot-list description: Scene 39. Long line of Bonus Army march past camera carrying baggage on their backs. (2 scenes.) Scene 40. Long shot of Bonus Army camp at Johnstown, Pa., showing tents, trucks, and men.

Clip 20 of 21 from film BONUS ARMY RIOTS IN WASHINGTON, D.C., JULY 1932.

Location note: Although the two scenes included in this clip may have taken place in separate locations, they have been kept together because of the overarching narration which flows through both scenes. This segment has been pinned to the coordinates of Ideal Park in Johnstown, PA., where a Bonus Army camp was temporarily established following their forced removal from their Washington, D.C. settlement.

Pinner's note: This clip has sound (narrator). Most likely it is from a newsreel.
