The aftermath of an enemy bombardment which killed 2nd Lt. Alex W. Terell

Original shot-list description: Pexonne, Meurthe-et-Moselle, France, Mar. 7, 1918 - Shelter for Battery C, 151st Field Artillery, 42nd Div. located in a quarry. This scene was taken just atter a bombardment in which 2nd Lt. Alex W. Terrell was killed by shrapnel. He was descending the path down which a soldier is now seen coming at the end of the panorama.

Battery C, 151st Field Artillery, 42nd Div. Lt. Col. Wm. Donohue inspecting damage done to battery and dugouts by the enemy shell fire. The hole in the foreground shows a direct hit on a dugout.
