Where crippled soldiers are reeducated
Original description: Now that the war is over, a great and momentous problem presents itself, that of the disabled soldiers, sailors and marines. Many of the men are receiving treatment of that kind at the Clinic for Functional Reeducation of Disabled Soldiers and Sailors in New York City. This photo shows an ankle strengthener worked by hand.
Location note:
The Clinic for Functional Reeducation of Disabled Soldiers and Sailors was later called Reconstruction Hospital before finally merging with NYU Langone Medical Center. Original address used to be 5 Livingston Place New York City, NY; pinned to what is now 5 Livingston Street in Brooklyn, NYC.
