Part of a set of four salt-cellars. Each is rectangular form with rectangular sides sloping inwards and canted corners. The sides flare outwards at the top to form an outer lip to the dish shaped indentation of the container for the salt. Decorated with pastoral and off shore scenes with trees, houses and bridges and foliage, and the centre is edged with a lambrequin style. Above the foot rim of each salt is a border of formal decoration formed of formal flower hands, foliage and other ornament.
