The honey pot and cover together form a beehive shape - the whole with a circular dish shaped stand. The pot and stand are mounted around tyhe edge with a band of silver gilt decorated with a band of laurel leaves. The cover is surmounted by a silver gilt bee perched on a flower. Pot, cover and stand are decorated overall with a cut and faceted diaper design.
