Knight’s Cross, The Sword, Sweden, c. 1789.

White enamelled, lying Maltese cross of gold, wavy canopies, no bullets on the tips. Between the cross arms open crowns of gold and turquoise blue enamel. Weak vaulted medallion of gold and dark blue enamel with on one side swords and three crowns and on the other side swords, laurel wreath and text: “PRO PATRIA,” all gold. On the upper tips of the upper cross arms, two crossed swords are attached with their tips down, blue enamelled clings, including a fixed royal crown of gold, in which a wooded open ribbon of gold.
