Krutbottle, Russia, end of the 17th century.

Round, dose-shaped gunpowder bottle made of pressed, blackened leather. On the front a pressed brass plate, d: 90 mm with the imperial, crowned, Russian double eagle, crowned by a common, imperial crown and with apple and sprout in the claws, vaulted cantring. On the sides of the bottle two leather loops for carrying strap. Rectangular piece of brass with five screws, in h. half an inner threaded, low tube, then a slightly balusterous brass nozzle is attached, l: 20 mm. The spout is closed with an outer lever closure in the form of an S-shaped lever arm, attached to a four-sided post with a slightly turned middle part. The lever spring towards a steel spring, attached to the edge of the bottle below the carrier loop.
