Whip Handle, 1570-1630 (Ref:M.H46.1988.9.0)

These are short sticks to which a cord or a leather thong were attached to enable tops to be whipped. One has a nail driven partly into one end, which acted as a method to attach the cord. The sticks range in length from 10.8 cm to 19.2 cm. (Museum ref: MH 46.1988.9.1-5)
