This red taffeta, full length, evening dress is part of the collections specially designed for Christmas season of 1999. It is typical of occasion-wear and evening-wear at the very end of the 20th century.
With the Millennium celebrations in mind, this rather formal, taffeta dress is influenced by 1950s fashion, but mixes retro-romance with contemporary practicality (it has concealed pockets in its front seams). The bodice is strapless and boned and has a supporting bra section and the full length skirt has a prom hem (caught up in loose gathers around the hem). The dress retailed for �89.99.
