LEPIDOPTERA: LYMANTRIIDAE: Lymantria cf. monacha: black arches
This moth was collected by Alexander Baynes at Newton Ferrers in Devon in August 1960. Male black arches moths are often attracted to lights and are smaller than the females, but have very large, feathery antennae. The larvae usually feed on oak. - -
